What do you love most about your job?
Working in the care sector can be one of the most rewarding jobs. What I love most, is making a difference to peoples lives. In many jobs, it can be surprisingly difficult to put your finger on the specific difference you have made. But in care, the difference is immediately clear. It’s clear in terms of the practical results you achieve – helping someone get dressed, wash or cook a meal – but it’s also clear in the effect you have on the people you care for.
What inspired you to start your own business?
With over 20 years of experience in social care, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. My journey has been driven by a deep passion for care, rooted in empathy and a commitment to understanding each person’s unique needs. I strive to make a positive difference in people’s lives by promoting well-being and fostering independence within the community.
Throughout my career as a social worker, I have gained extensive knowledge in enhancing individuals’ well-being and understanding their specific needs. I assist those who require support to live comfortably and independently, helping them remain in their communities while ensuring their safety and quality of life.
As a compassionate advocate for personalised care, I uphold strong values centred on respect, dignity, and empowerment. Inspired by my family’s commitment to providing high-quality, individualized support, we work together to create meaningful change. Our aim at Alpha is to ensure that every person we serve receives attentive, thoughtful care that genuinely meets their needs and promotes their independence.
